- Having one of your pictures appear on the front page of Buffalo.com as part of our header is easy! Just follow these simple steps and your photo may be featured on Buffalo.com’s homepage!
- 1. Locate a high quality photo that will work well on Buffalo.com’s homepage.
Because of the unique size of the header, certain photos are out. Typically large, outdoor photos work best. Just look at the following examples to determine if one of your photos will work. - This image is wide enough to use behind Buffalo.com's logo on the Buffalo.com homepage. It's an excellent image. It also represents Western New York very well (Albright Knox). The next image shows the area that we will crop to turn the image into a final header.

- Any resident of the United States may submit photographs. You may only submit your own original, previously unpublished photographs. Buffalo.com, in its sole discretion will determine which photographs will be published.
- Photographs should be cropped to approximately 920 x 105 pixels for use as the Buffalo.com masthead photo. Photographs should be a landscape shot and may not include identifiable people.
- Person submitting photos must be 21 years or older. If under 21, a parent or legal guardian must consent to the submitted photograph.
- Submission of any photograph grants Buffalo.com the right to copy, use, modify, publish and republish the photograph without restrictions for the purpose of the Buffalo.com masthead, including any and all promotional advertising. Submission of a photograph constitutes an entrant’s representation, assurance and agreement that they are the exclusive owners of all the rights to the photograph and that no restrictions or limitations exist on any publication or use of the photograph by Buffalo.com. By submitting the photo to Buffalo.com, the person submitting the photo guarantees that said photo has never been published in, or as part of, any book, newspaper, magazine, catalogue, poster, postcard or other publication. Submitter agrees there are no restrictions on the photo and they have full right and authority to submit the photo to Buffalo.com.
- Should any action, claim or suit of any kind be threatened, brought or made against Buffalo.com based upon infringement of another's intellectual property rights because of the photograph submitted by the entrant, the entrant shall indemnify and hold Buffalo.com harmless from such action, claim or suit (including reasonable attorney fees).
- Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of all rules, and by so doing the submitter asserts that all rules have been satisfied.
- No fee will be paid for the acceptance or publication of any photograph. Entrants will be notified of any use or publication of any submitted photograph.
